From our collection of furniture collected from Abel Solicitors in Southampton. The oldest law firm in the city who are relocating in the city and moving into modern offices. We were offered the opportunity to save and restore the vintage furniture in the building that they moved into after the war.
A beautiful piece of furniture. Pine framed with thick mahogany veneer.
We have gently “Revived this piece by repairing the small amount of damage it had from 100 years of use. We brought back the richness in the wood and restored the original locks and replaced the missing keys.
The door glass appears to be original and has that lovely ripple to it. The shelves are also original and are supported by wedges.
This is a stunning piece but also wonderfully practical storage.
