Description

Antique desk found at Able Solicitors is Southampton, the oldest law firm in the City who are moving to new modern offices.  This desk has had light gentle use to store legal papers which has preserved it beautifully.

To be honest we dont know what the wood is but it is beautiful.  We have gently taken the surface back to clean it and remove the old varnish and then waxed it.  We used the term “Cherry” to describe the colour.

The two drawers work well and along with the desk body are strong.  The drawers have two odd knobs but both are turned wood and too nice to change.  We hope you allow us to present this as part of its cheeky character?!

There is a back stop to the desk in the style of a wash stand but that’s not how we are selling it.
